Ye came from China, and recived his Bachelor degree in Chemistry from Xiamen University, Xiamen. After graduation, he worked three years in Shanghai Henkel Daily-use Products Services Co. Ltd., which is a branch company of Henkel KGaA.

He came to America in 2000 and started to study at ISU in the spring of 2002. Ye is interested in the areas of Database, Operating Systems, and Virtual Reality. He is working on a project that uses visualization technology to improve the understandability of bioinformatic computational results. His duty is the database part of the project.

Ye likes to cook and sing during his spare time. He likes almost all kinds of food: Chinese, American, and Mexican food and so on, and he is always ready and happy to try the new things.
