Kazuya Suzuki is a senior attending Iowa State University. He is majoring in Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics (AEEM.)
Kazuya was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan until his father got involved in projects in his work and was sent to Chicago. In 1996, his whole family except his sister moved to a city called Naperville, which is a suburb of Chicago, and lived there for three years. He attended in Naperville North High School and played baseball for three years. He played first base man because he didn't really like to run. He was good at catching, and had been playing first base man for 10 years. Kazuya graduated from Naperville North High School in June 1999 and came to Ames in August. A couple of months after his college life was started, his parents moved back to Tokyo.
Right now, Kazuya is the president of Japanese Association, which stays active in ISU campus by offering informal Japanese Language Class (JLC), selling Japanese Foods during international food fair and VIESHEA. Kazuya also participates in intramural sports, and so on.
