Mikako Matsunaga is the graphic designer for the lab. Mikako is a MFA student in the Graphic Design program at Iowa State University. She is originally from Fukuoka, Japan. She received a BA in law in Japan and a second BA in Graphic Design from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire while teaching Japanese as an instructor.

Mikako has studied typography, information design, web design, packaging, branding, and interface design. Currently Mikako is working on her MFA thesis on user-friendly form design while teaching graphic design technology.

In her free time, Mikako likes to read, draw, and travel.
