Sunyoung Park is a graduate student at ISU majoring in Graphic Design.
She is originally from South Korea and came to US in 1995 as an exchange student. Sunyoung finished her highschool senior year in St.Louis, MO. and moved to Cedar Rapids, IA where she attended Kirkwood Community College. In 1998, she transfered to Iowa State University and got her BFA in Graphic Design. Currently, she is working towards MFA degree in Graphic Design at ISU.
During her undergraduate and graduate years in Graphic Design program, Sunyoung explored critical design principles and concepts, and gained valuable knowledge of using various graphic softwares. Her studio projects are concentrated on typography, identity, publication design, packaging, and web/multimedia design.
Sunyoung's research interests include symbology and experience design. For now, she is focusing on her Master's thesis topic Webpage Optimization Using Genetic Algorithm Driven CSS (Cascading Style Sheet). Click here to see the prototype website.
