Kent Weber is a Ph.D. student in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology ( BCB).

His research interests include the modeling of metabolic networks and gene regulation systems. He is also involved in a project with Dr. Chou and others in the lab, to create a biochemical pathway analysis and inference tool.
Kent worked as a structural engineer for 7 years before discovering an interest in biology, which lead to his coursework at Georgia Tech and subsequent transfer to Iowa State in 2003. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served a tour of duty from 1988-90. He was also briefly recalled to duty during the first Gulf War in 1991.
When he can find time he likes to play strategy games, read and play racket-ball.
